Post-Raya 2026 Brunch Picks: Our Lightest Waffle & Coffee Combos
Our menu picks for the post-Raya Aidilfitri 2026 stretch — lighter sweet waffles, cold brews, and oat-milk options for reset-week brunches in Kota Damansara.

The Raya 2026 public holidays have wrapped up and Kota Damansara is settling back into its post-festive rhythm. If your first working week after Aidilfitri felt like a slow reset — one part full stomach, one part jam-lag from the drive back from kampung — this is the post for you.
Here’s what we’re pouring and plating at Bubbs & Bites, our pet-friendly cafe in Kota Damansara, through the rest of April and into early May.
1. Classic Honey & Butter Waffle — reset-friendly sweet
Post-Raya bodies usually want something sweet but not heavy. The Classic Honey & Butter Waffle fits exactly here: airy Belgian-style base, warm butter, real honey drizzle, a little powdered sugar, done. No chocolate ganache, no peanut butter, no ice-cream tower.
At RM 13, it’s the lightest waffle on the menu — which also makes it our favourite “share with a friend” order this week.
Pair it with: An Americano or Long Black. The bitter-clean coffee cuts any sweetness and resets the palate. If you’ve been overdosing on kuih and santan, that’s exactly the angle.
2. Iced Oat Milk Latte — a gentle reset drink
Reset-week dairy tolerance is a real thing. Our Iced Oat Milk Latte (oat milk on any white or specialty latte, same reasonable add-on) is the easiest on a stomach that’s been through two weeks of festive eating.
The Strawberry Oatmilk Matcha is also back on the daily board for April-May — the pink-green layer combo is genuinely pretty and the matcha is hand-whisked, not pulled from syrup. See our oat milk & dairy-free coffee guide for everything that supports oat milk.
3. Duck Pate Toast — savoury but light
If you want savoury without committing to a full pasta plate, the Duck Pate Toast is our pick this fortnight. Smoked-duck-forward, mildly spiced, and a proper bite at RM 14. Regulars sometimes order it as a light second breakfast after a morning walk.
4. Brunch budget combos we’re seeing this week
Post-Raya means a lot of our regulars are budgeting carefully until the next pay day. Three brunch combos for under RM 25 per person:
- Classic Honey & Butter Waffle + Americano: RM 13 + RM 9 = RM 22
- Duck Pate Toast + Flat White: RM 14 + RM 11 = RM 25
- Mini Wrap + Iced Blended Coffee: RM 10 + RM 14 = RM 24
If you’re bringing a group, try our brunch group budget estimator — it accounts for drink style and whether pets are coming too.
5. Pets are still very welcome
A reminder because it comes up every post-festive week: yes, we stay pet-friendly year-round. No seasonal rules changes for Raya or after. If your dog is accustomed to the kampung pace, bringing them to Bubbs for a quiet reset brunch is a gentle way to re-acclimate them to city life. See our pet policy if it’s their first cafe visit.
6. Hours reminder
