We’re starting a monthly Saturday morning slot for pet parents at Bubbs & Bites, our pet-friendly cafe in Kota Damansara — reserved corner, light icebreakers, and a complimentary pet treat with every main waffle. First session: Saturday 3 May 2026, 9:00–11:00 AM.
The quick version: if you’ve wanted to take your dog or cat to a cafe but weren’t sure how it’d go, this is a gentle low-pressure way in.
What to expect
- Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, first Saturday of each month
- Location: The back corner of the cafe (largest floor space, nearest outlets)
- Attendees: Up to 8 pet-owner parties per session
- Included: A complimentary pet treat on any main waffle order (Smoked Duck, Bananutella, Reese PB, or Classic)
- Free to attend — just walk in; mention Pet Play Brunch at the counter
We keep numbers small on purpose. Our cafe stays calm and our staff stay attentive, which is the whole point of the session.
What we’ll do
Very little, in the best way. A few light icebreakers — a rotating “dog name and favourite snack” round, a “longest cafe nap” observation (purely honorary prize), and informal pet-parent chat. Belle or a team member will be on hand to answer first-visit questions about our pet policy, seating, and logistics.
No structured programme. No party hats. Just good brunch in good company, some of whom happen to have four legs.
Who it’s for
- First-time cafe pet parents. Nervous about how your dog will handle a cafe? This is the gentlest introduction.
- Established regulars with pets. You already know the drill — come meet other pet-owning regulars. We suspect there’s friendships waiting to happen.
- Remote workers considering bringing their pet. Saturday isn’t a working day, but you’ll see what the seating and floor-space dynamics look like.
Solo diners and non-pet brunchers are also very welcome during the time slot — the session just operates as “reserved pet-friendly corner + rest of the cafe as usual.”
What to bring
- Your dog or cat in a carrier, diaper, or on a short leash — see our pet policy for the basics
- A small mat or blanket if your pet has a favourite; we provide floor mats too
- Chew toys or puzzle feeders for settle-in entertainment
- Poop bags (we have spares if you forget)
Menu picks for the session
The complimentary pet treat kicks in on any main waffle order, but here’s what we usually nudge:
- First-timers: Smoked Duck & Eggs Waffle with a Flat White — the most-shared Saturday combo. RM 24 + RM 11 = RM 35.
- Lighter order: Classic Honey & Butter Waffle with an Americano — RM 13 + RM 9 = RM 22.
- Group share: Two waffles + two coffees for two people, average RM 45–55 total. Use our brunch group budget estimator to plan ahead.

Message us on Instagram the week of the session if you know you’re coming; it helps us plan the corner layout. Otherwise — walk in.
Questions
- Can I come without a pet? Yes, the session doesn’t take over the cafe — it’s just a reserved corner. The rest of the cafe runs as normal.
- What if my pet gets overwhelmed? Our dining-with-your-dog guide has a section on this. Short story: a 5-minute walk outside usually resets them.
- Halal menu options? Our kitchen is pork-free; smoked duck is prepared in the no-pork kitchen. For strict halal details, ask our staff.
